So, let's bust the myths associated with exfoliation and list out the why, how and when of this regime.

       What is exfoliation and exfoliators?

Exfoliation is a process by which you can use exfoliators with small amounts of coarse particles like walnut face scrub that when rubbed on your nose, chin and other areas eliminates blackheads and whiteheads. This makes your skin clean and gives it a good glow.

       Why to exfoliate?

Dead skin cells gets accumulated on your face. Dust, dirt and pollution further lead to rough skin that causes more and more dullness on your face. This makes it very crucial to exfoliate your skin from time to time. If you don't use a good exfoliating walnut scrub or any other natural scrub it can lead to accumulation of dirt.

       How to exfoliate?

It is important to exfoliate your skin but it is more important to do it correctly. Exfoliation many a times in a week or day can ruin your skin and cause blisters, rashes or break outs. Using chemical based exfoliators could give you instant results but what is more significant is to have more lasting effect. Natural exfoliating scrubs such as walnut, papaya etc. lead to a more soothing and effective exfoliation result. Make sure to use even natural exfoliants only twice or thrice a week.

       When to exfoliate?

It is very crucial to exfoliate your skin at the right time. Exfoliating in the morning before leaving for work is a bad idea. Exfoliation opens up your pores to clean it. If you exfoliate and leave your pores open in the morning it can lead to more dirt being accumulated in the skin pores. That's why it is best to exfoliate your skin in the evening. You can also learn how to exfoliate skin at home so that it becomes convenient to clean your skin.

Exfoliating face scrubs like any other make up product should not be used past its expiry date. You can make a natural exfoliating scrub at home as well using oats / honey or lemon and orange zest. Skin exfoliation is crucial and should not be taken for granted.
